The coast of light, your place of happiness
The Costa de la Luz from Huelva is a natural area that runs from the mouth of the Guadiana River, between the border of Spain and Portugal, to the mouth of the Guadalquivir River, which separates the province of Huelva from that of Cádiz.
In this area there are a series of wide white sand beaches where water, dunes and pine forests come together and combine, offering visitors from a lively atmosphere in fully equipped areas to wild and lonely places.
Ayamonte, Isla Cristina, Lepe, Cartaya, Punta Umbría, Mazagón and Matalascañas constitute the most important coastal nuclei of this coast. Eminently fishing towns that have seen their physiognomy changed by the large influx of tourists.
Its situation, close to the Doñana National Park, makes it the ideal place for nature lovers and those who demand relaxation and rest. The most active are guaranteed the practice of numerous sports, both nautical and land.

MAIN BEACHES

Matalascañas
Considered one of the most important tourist icons. This area combines the beauty of its beach with that of the Doñana National Park. Surrounded by dunes, pine forests, Mediterranean scrub and wetlands, it is one of the most beautiful natural landscapes you can go to.

La antilla
A beach of fine golden sand, with good weather throughout the year, receives tourists from all over the world and is considered one of the most popular tourist destinations in Spain.

Isla canela
Located on the edge of Portugal, bordering on the border, this quiet and uncrowded beach is an excellent place to relax alone or with others.

Punta umbría
A fishing village bathed by the waters of the Atlantic and the Huelva estuary. Its golden sand beaches share space with old summer cottages, the occasional beach bar and spectacular natural landscapes.

El rompido
Coastal urban nucleus that throughout history has been a small and remote fishermen's settlement at the mouth of the Piedras River. Currently it boasts of being a tourist economic engine in the area.

Mazagón
A privileged place to enjoy nature and the clarity of the Atlantic waters, close to the Doñana National Park, a place to discover, whether on foot, on horseback routes, by 4x4 or by bicycle.
